Abook4all takes great care of all the information you give us however given, and how it is used and stored. WE DO NOT SHARE YOUR INFORMATION WITH ANY OTHER COMPANY and do not intend to do so in the foreseeable future. We use a secure server and a powerful firewall to ensure maximum privacy regarding your communications.
If at any stage we did join or share services with another established reputable company, this would be posted here immediately prior for the fullest disclosure possible. We DO NOT STORE sensitive INFORMATION in any case.
We are extremely proud to be an independent company, and that we do not share your information. We fully appreciate the trust you place in us and our site security reflects this. By visiting Abook4all, you are accepting the practices described in this Privacy Notice.
What general information about Customers do we store?
General and benign information, (not payment details unless requested by you) e.g. preferred products, shipping preferences, wants lists etc. General information from all the other customers is also used in the same way to refine our service in general and make it appropriate to demand, but also it can allow us to quickly tailor a service to suit a regular client when asked to do so; e.g. perhaps to find or research an item or subject or author or antique, or provide a bespoke library collection etc. This benign general routine information greatly assists us in continually improving our service to you.
We emphasise again that we do not share information with any other company. If you do ever receive any information that concerns you whether from ourselves or persons purporting to be ourselves – please do not hesitate to contact us in order that we may be of assistance in correcting the matter. However we cannot be held responsible for the consequences or actions of such outside companies unrelated to ourselves.
We Do Not store credit card details or sensitive information. These are taken afresh on each transaction. Information gathered includes:-
Any information you enter on our Web site or give us in any other way, we receive and store onto a secure server behind a solid firewall and these are not Shared with anyone else. You can choose to give as much or as little information as you wish but for online payments a certain amount of information is unavoidable and necessary, though this is not stored beyond payment period. Certain helpful features are only operational with your online input which will allow you to take advantage of many of these features. We use the information that you provide for such purposes as responding appropriately to your requests, customizing features for you, improving our service, and generally communicating with you.
Do you use Cookies?
Cookies are alphanumeric identifiers that we transfer to your computers hard drive through your Web browser to enable our systems to recognize your browser and to provide features such as Abook4all Easy Click purchasing, Highlights of New Acquisitions, personalized Abook4all welcome pages, and storage of your items in the Shopping Cart as you shop.
On the Help portion of your browsers toolbar you will see how to prevent your browser from accepting new cookies, and also how to have the browser alert you when you receive a fresh cookie, and also how to disable cookies altogether. However, our benign cookies do allow you to take full advantage of some of Abook4all most favoured features, and we think you might be glad you left them switched on. Our few cookies are only operational as a facilitating method whilst you are on the site and do not attach to you in any other way. Your privacy is secure.
Does Abook4all share the information with other companies?
Once again, no. As we have said before we are proud to be fully independent and do not therefore share information about our customers with others. Your payments are however processed online through world renowned outside agencies such as Worldpay and Paypal for your added security and these companies operate independently secure systems for this purpose for which they are responsible.
Payment Processing Agents
When we do involve the services of another company in a payment processing situation e.g. worldpay or paypal, this will be obvious from the screen as you will notice yourself on another site namely the aforementioned. Whilst on those sites making payment the security of your information is the responsibility of those companies. If you do not wish to use their payment services and would prefer to pay Abook4all direct then this is just as welcome to our helpful team as credit card by phone, cheque in the post, or secure emails by arrangement or money order. For speed and efficiency of our service to you we do generally prefer however that you pay online via the services offered in the buying and cart areas if possible. Help is always available 9am to 6pm GMT Monday to Friday if you have any difficulty with payment options.
Delivery Agents:
We employ other world renowned companies such as FED EX and Royal Mail and other top courier companies to deliver our packages. Insurance is usually included as standard but can be upgraded by request. They have access to your address for delivery purposes only.
Promotional Offers:
Sometimes we send special offers to selected groups of Abook4all customers and this is usually by an opt-in and opt-out service according to your preference. If you do not wish to receive such offers, please adjust your Customer Communication Preferences.
Our Protection of Abook4all and that of others
We will release account and other personal information only when we believe such release is appropriate to comply with the law; or to enforce or apply our Conditions of Use and other agreements; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Abook4all, our users, or others. This could include exchanging information with other companies and organizations soley for fraud protection and credit risk reduction. This does not include selling, renting, sharing, or otherwise disclosing personally identifiable information from customers for other commercial purposes in violation of the commitments set forth in this Privacy Notice. For the avoidance of doubt Abook4all regret that they can not honor or complete purchases which Abook4all believe would or may threaten the security or stability of their website, company, personel or assets. In situations of perceived threat to the company, personel, website or assets occuring during a transaction or negotiation, we reserve the right to refund any monies paid and withdraw from the transaction.
Your Consent
Other than as set out above, you will receive notice when information about you might go to third parties. You will be able to choose not to share the information.
How Secure Is Information About Me?
We diligently protect the security of your information during transmission by using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software, which encrypts information you input.
Only the last five digits of your credit card numbers are visible on our screens when confirming an order, even though the entire credit card number is transmitted to the appropriate credit card company during order processing.
It is important for you to protect against unauthorized access to your password and to your computer. Keep the information safe and be sure to sign off especially after using a shared computer.
Can I Access my own Information?
Abook4all gives you access to a broad range of information about your account and your interactions with Abook4all for the limited purpose of viewing and, in certain cases, updating that information.
What Choices Do I Have?
You can always choose not to provide information, even though it might be needed to make a purchase or to take advantage of such Abook4all features as Your Account, Your Area, Wish Lists, and Our Customer Reviews.
It is possible to add or update certain information on certain pages. When you update information, we may keep a copy of the prior version for our records.
If you do not want to receive e-mail or other mail from us, please communicate this via the site or by phone. (If you do not want to receive regular updates of Conditions of Use and other legal notices from us, such as this Privacy Notice, those notices will still govern your use of Abook4all, and it is your responsibility to review them for changes.)
Safety for Children
Abook4all does not sell products to persons under 16. We sell collectors childrens products for purchase by adults for persons under 16.
Conditions of Use, Notices, and Revisions
If you have any concerns about privacy at Abook4all, please contact us with your concerns and we will help.
When changes occur, reminders of our notices and conditions are emailed to customers where possible, unless asked not to, where responsibility for knowing our current Privacy Notice then passes to you the customer.
Information You Give Us
You provide general and specific information when you search, buy, bid, post, participate in on line interactions, or communicate with customer service. For example, you provide information when you search for a product; or place an order through Abook4all. or communicate with us by phone, e-mail, or otherwise automate information. With our high levels of security and firm commitment to your privacy this should not provide any concerns for you.
